Their head studio is a testament to innovative and flexible design, fostering a collaborative spirit through both its architectural layout and cutting-edge lighting approach. This project, featuring lighting design by Steensen Varming and commissioning by Afterglow Controls, it showcases the power of Casambi wireless lighting control in creating a dynamic and human-centric workspace.
Breaking away from the constraints of siloed workspaces, Fitzpatrick + Partners designed their studio to be fluid and adaptable, responding to the ever-changing needs of their team and projects. This agile aesthetic is perfectly complemented by the sophisticated lighting design crafted by Steensen Varming. Afterglow Controls played a crucial role in bringing this vision to life, integrating a Casambi automated lighting control system.
The Casambi system is programmed to mimic natural circadian rhythms, subtly shifting color temperatures throughout the day. This dynamic lighting approach creates a more comfortable and productive environment, with a noticeably warmer and more inviting atmosphere in the evenings.
The lighting scheme combines FX Track, Darklights, and Spotlights to provide excellent task lighting above tables and workspaces in both communal and collaborative areas. Crucially, each workstation enjoys individual lighting control, empowering employees to personalize their workspace lighting to their exact preferences.
