Our Beginning

Founded in 2016, Afterglow Controls began with a clear focus - to bring Casambi smart lighting into everyday projects in a way that actually worked on site. LED technology was already well established, but we saw an opportunity to push it further through intelligent, flexible control.

Seeing the Gap

Casambi’s wireless Bluetooth system stood out immediately, especially for projects where traditional cabling was restricted or simply not practical. But early use revealed a problem - for many first-time users, the system felt difficult to approach, and support was limited.

Our Casambi Challenge

We saw the frustration first-hand. Getting started with Casambi could be daunting, and without the right guidance, projects slowed down. There was a clear gap in the Australian market for practical support, education, and on-the-ground expertise.

Our Approach

We set out to simplify adoption, build confidence, and make the technology more accessible across the industry. A key part of that has been supporting electricians and contractors to confidently commission their own projects.
